Ajay Kumar Mahto is a seasoned software engineer with over 7 years of experience in managing, scaling, and automating large-scale microservices infrastructure deployments. He has hands-on production experience on leading cloud providers and is currently working as a Lead DevOps Engineer at National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI). At NPCI, Ajay is responsible for building up NextGen Tech Stack for the organization and its products. He is implementing DevOps methodologies to streamline product delivery and improve agility in existing applications. He is also working on providing a revamp to the Data Center environment through extensive automation and collaborating closely with Infosec teams to implement DevSecOps as a defacto mode of operation at NPCI. Prior to NPCI, Ajay has worked as a DevSecOps Engineer at Grab where he was responsible for the implementation of security baseline standards for Cloud Infrastructure. He also ingested security practices in the product deployment pipeline and provided visibility from a security standpoint to various stakeholders within Grab. At Paytm, Ajay worked as a DevOps Engineer where he was responsible for automation for new infrastructure using Docker, Kubernetes, Saltstack, Terraform, and Python. He also managed and automated the existing infrastructure using Ansible and AWS. Ajay has a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the National Institute of Technology Jamshedpur. He also holds a Higher Secondary degree in Science from Gulmohur High School. Ajay is proficient in DevOps, infra, Python, AWS, Golang, Software Engineering, Ansible, Terraform, Microservices, Kubernetes, Docker, MySQL, SRE, and Jenkins.
